Julia’s passion for food began when she was very young. Whether curious or just plain hungry, she always managed to find her way into the kitchen. Raised in an Italian-American household, she got a first-hand education on the importance of high-quality, home-cooked food. Growing up in the kitchen taught her that cooking is not a chore, but a pleasurable task. Today, that task is one that she enthusiastically embraces with confidence and success.

Julia holds a Master’s Degree in Gastronomy from Boston University. She has worked as a professional chef for several area fine catering companies, as well as for Whole Foods Market©. She has also taught culinary education classes at Brookline Adult Education Center, as well as in private homes.

Recognizing the busy schedules of individuals and families and the importance of eating nutritious meals, Julia started Chef Around Town Personal Chef Service. This service helps families spend less time and money on high calorie take-out food and mediocre frozen meals. Instead, clients enjoy fresh, well-prepared, healthful meals with no effort. Julia’s menus reflect her commitment to seasonal produce, wholesome sustainable ingredients, as well as local and global influences.
